Pau Gasol rumors: Houston Rockets interested after losing Chris Bosh?
Chris Bosh was supposed to sign with the Houston Rockets. That was the assumption anyway after LeBron James left the Miami Heat to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Rockets were prepared to offer Bosh the max contract he desired and even cleared cap room by trading point guard Jeremy Lin to facilitate the Texas native to join Dwight Howard and James Harden in Houston.
However, Bosh elected to re-sign with the Heat for five years and $118 million therefore leaving the Rockets in search of a power forward and a marquee addition to compete with the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers in a stacked Western Conference.
That player could now be Los Angeles Lakers free agent Pau Gasol, according to ESPN’s Royce Young.
Gasol has interest from the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Spurs and the Lakers who have contemplated a sign-and-trade if Gasol expresses his desire to leave.
A move to the Bulls where they can offer Carlos Boozer and his expiring contract to the Lakers in exchange for the two-time NBA champion or a move to the Big Apple where Carmelo Anthony has expressed his desire to play with Gasol could be the two favorites for Gasol, especially considering Phil Jackson and his history with Gasol.
However, don’t discount the possibility of the Rockets turning their attention to Gasol after the stunning decision by Bosh to re-sign with the Heat and reject the Rockets offer which was for a reported at four years at $85 million.
