Dwight Howard sends out odd Tweet about Palestine

Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard sent out an odd Tweet on Saturday. It simply read “#FreePalestine” and was deleted, but internet savvy Twitter users who expected that screen shotted it before it was taken down.

After taking down the Tweet, Howard tweeted out an apology and said that he has never, and will never, comment on international politics.

Looks like there could’ve been some reasoning behind it, and maybe it wasn’t a mistake.

It looks like Howard’s heart was in the right place and you can’t blame him for wanting to avoid being caught up in a firestorm over the tweet and his decision to delete it.

Don’t understand the apology or why he felt he needed it if he’s decided to take an opinion on a serious matter.

It’s corporate politics, he doesn’t only represent himself but the franchise he plays for. I’m sure he received a ton of heat for the tweet as soon as it went up and that’s probably why he took down. Regardless his heart was in the right place but you he also has a career to look after.

his heart was in the right place? if you are a supporter of the “Palestinians” then you are a evil and disgusting Muslim or one of these “Westerners” who likes to see the Jews being killed, regardless you are someone who should have no place on the earth

I’m not entirely clear on what’s “odd” about that tweet.
