The nation’s top-ranked quarterback, 5-Star prospect Josh Rosen has been committed to the Bruins since March and was attended the event not only to show his skills but to recruit top prospects to join him in Westwood.
First, it was 3-Star athlete/dual-threat quarterback Stephen Johnson who gave his pledge to the Bruins Tuesday night. Then, two days later, 4-Star offensive tackle Andre James announced his commitment to the Bruins.
On Friday, 4-Star center Fred Ulu-Perry announced his intentions to attend UCLA in the fall.
Ulu-Perry then took to instagram to explain his decision.
"Made A Big Decision Today After All The Researching & Evaluating These Past Couple Of MonthsPrayed On It A LOT and Discussed It W/My Aiga! Thanks Be To Our Heavenly Father! He Truly Deserves All The Glory! Gotta Continue To Take Care Of Business Right Now! #BRUINS #8Clap #4’sUp#CrusaderNation #Committed"
The 6’2, 300-pound Ulu-Perry is from Honolulu, Hiawaii and attends St. Louis High School. He is ranked as the country’s second-best center prospect, the third-best overall prospect in the state Hawaii and the 194th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. Ulu-Perry chose the Bruins over offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Colorado Buffaloes and Texas Tech Red Raiders. His performance at The Opening should open up even more offers for him.
He becomes UCLA’s 10th verbal commitment and their class is ranked 17th nationally.
