Eric Bledsoe

The player remaining on the market with the most superstar potential, Bledsoe averaged a very efficient 17.7 points 4.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in his first season as a full-time starter for the Suns. Complicating matters a little is that Phoenix’s 5th-year point guard is a restricted free agent, giving the Suns the right to match any offer. Still, with cap room to burn and a massive talent hole to fill, Miami shouldn’t hesitate in throwing a big offer Bledsoe’s way.

It’s possible Phoenix chooses to let him walk rather than commit nearly $60 million for the next four years, after they acquired Isaiah Thomas from Sacramento on Friday.  If so, Miami will have acquired one of the most dynamic young athletes in the league and can put him in a position to fully exploit those talents. More importantly, the Heat will give themselves the best young star on the market to retool around.
