As soon as Miami Heat free agent forward LeBron James decided to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the speculation around the future of swingman Andrew Wiggins and the Cavaliers began.

More from NBA

Wiggins a former Kansas Jayhawk, was the top-overall pick of last month’s draft. There have been reports of the Cavaliers trying to trade for Minnesota Timberwolves’ power forward Kevin Love and it would almost certainly mean the Cavaliers would be giving up Wiggins to get him.

As much as the Cavaliers probably want Love and as good as he is, parting with a talent like Wiggins would be very difficult. Wiggins made his NBA debut in Summer League action against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. In a 70-68 victory over the Bucks, who feature the number two overall pick, former Duke Blue Devils’ forward Jabari Parker, Wiggins scored 18 points on seven-of-18 shooting from the field, one-of-eight shooting from beyond the arc and three-of-six shooting from the free throw line to go with three rebounds, one block and one steal.

On Sunday, before tipping off his second career Summer League game against the San Antonio Spurs, Wiggins dazzled the crowd in warmups. As he was going through the layup line, Wiggins threw down a behind-the-back 360 slam dunk that you can see below (via the NBA’s Instagram).

Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game for the Jayhawks last season while shooting 44.8% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free throw line. Wiggins was ranked as the top prospect in the draft by Jonathan Givony of Draft Express
