The Dallas Mavericks have been busy on Sunday and they’re showing no sign s of slowing down at all as they enter the overnight hours into a new week on Monday. After wrestling Chandler Parsons away from the Houston Rockets, the Mavericks are now looking at a possible trade that would dump some salary and open up a roster spot to possibly fill with a free agent.

More from Dallas Mavericks

According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Mavericks and the Washington Wizards as in talks to sign-and-trade DeJuan Blair in a move that would land the big man in Washington.

Things aren’t official yet, but the Wizards interest in Blair is there, as is the interest from the Mavs to make a sign-and-trade work.

Blair is a guy who may fit well with the Wizards as Washington as slowly put together a very solid offseason. They brought back Marcin Gortat, added Paul Pierce in a shocker of a move and didn’t overpay to keep Trevor Ariza.

Now they look to be adding Blair to the roster which just adds another veteran for the young team to have at its disposal as they attempt to build off of the success from last year.
