I’m not sure what the deal is, but the St. Louis Cardinals are again, being overlooked during the season. Last week, being four or five games out of 1st place. This weekend: one game back going into today’s game with the division leading Milwaukee Brewers. Come Sunday, the Redbirds could be leading the NL Central and to be frank: they don’t deserve it. Their pitching staff has been more banged up than an iPhone screen dropping on concrete and the offense has been about as consistent as a Kardashian relationship.

And that should make the rest of the league very nervous.

St. Louis is poise to take control of the division lead, and they haven’t even played well or been healthy. Speaking of health, the birds lost their leader and all-star Yadier Molina last week to a torn ligament, but the team has enough to get through it – more than throughout it – enough to win. I’ll tell you why if I was a Cards fan as a Cards can I love the position the team is in:
