Now that the UFC has made an exciting new signing to the women’s bantamweight division, many are wondering when the Holly Holm UFC debut will take place.
While we do not have an exact date or an opponent set, Holm recently revealed a timetable for when she would like to make her Octagon debut.
Holm, who is recovering from a broken arm, says that she expects to be 100 percent ready and able to compete by mid-Autumn.
“The end of October, beginning of November is a pretty safe bet to give myself enough of a training camp,” Holm said during an appearance on AXS TV’s Inside MMA. “My arm feels great. Everything’s healing really well. I’ve had to have a little bit of patience not getting back into things too soon.”
When asked about her UFC debut, Holm said that she does not want to be “thrown to the wolves,” so she has to appreciate the fact Dana White said she will not receive an immediate title shot against UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
But the question remains: Who will Holm face in her UFC debut?
We will have to wait and see what the UFC decides, but the likes of Jessica Eye, Liz Carmouche and Jessica Andrade are all intriguing challenges.
Another potential opponent for Holm could be the winner of Wednesday night’s match up between Jessamyn Duke and Leslie Smith at UFC Fight Night 45 in Atlantic City.
