When the Miami Heat acquired the draft rights to Shabazz Napier, it was under the impression that they did so to appease LeBron James. It’s not that the Heat didn’t feel Napier was a talented prospect on his own accord, but it was well known that Napier was the favorite player of James going into the draft.

More from LeBron James

Given the Heat were doing all they could to make James happy, they acquired the rights to Napier and LeBron James, as expected, expressed excitement about the addition.

Of course, just a few weeks later James decided to leave South Beach, which apparently didn’t sit all that well with the Miami Heat rookie.

After tweeting LeBron James a few times during the past few weeks, Shabazz Napier decided to go back and delete his attempted conversations with James. That wasn’t the only thing he did though as Napier, giving the ultimate online middle finger, unfollowed LeBron James’ Twitter account.

I’m not exactly sure why Napier took offense to James nor why he felt the need to delete his messages to him, but I’m guessing he feels slightly spurred after figuring he was going to play with the multiple time MVP. I mean, even without LeBron, playing in South Beach is among the better destinations in the NBA so life could be much worse for the late first round draft pick.

It could also bee that Napier is wearing his uniform with pride and upset that James decided to leave the Miami Heat behind, he’s trying to pound his chest so the fan base knows where his loyalties lay.
