Miami Dolphins starting center Mike Pouncey was one of a handful of players named in the Ted Wells investigation from last season that centered around bullying issues with the team that led to Jonathan Martin temporarily walking away from the sport.
Because of his alleged involvement in the bullying and harassment, there was some concern that he could be facing punishment from the league.
That doesn’t appear to be the case, however.
According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, the NFL has indicated that Pouncey will not be facing a suspension.
“I don’t anticipate having to address the issue again,” a league spokesperson told Beasley.
For the Miami Dolphins, that is obviously great news.
Miami spent the offseason revamping their offensive line, but without Pouncey for the start of the season the team would have been without their anchor.
Now, they can go forward at full strength and quarterback Ryan Tannehill will not have to fear for his life.
