Mike Ribeiro may have worn out his welcome in Arizona, but the free agent center is still drawing interest from at least two teams, per Renaud Lavoie. Indications are that Ribeiro will sign soon, even if details on the location are scant for now.
Mike Ribeiro should make a decision this week about his future. He visit a Western team and will talk to a Eastern team this week.

One can expect Ribeiro’s deal to modest in term and money after he was bought out by the Arizona Coyotes for behavioral issues. He had just played out the first year of a five-year $25 million deal. Now with lots of buyout money in his pocket, Ribeiro can focus on making the best decision possible — a luxury he hasn’t always used to the fullest.
With the dearth of centers on the NHL free agent market, it’s hard to believe Ribeiro has lasted this long, but that’s what a bad reputation in this league can do for you. Arizona GM Don Maloney is a well respected name in the league and when he cited Ribeiro’s behavioral issues, it clearly raised a red flags with the rest of the league.
Still, there are suitors out there and Ribeiro plans to sign with one of them soon. If he can turn his life around and keep his personal life off the ice, there could be a team getting a steal at center.
