SEC Media Day: Kevin Sumlin asked about life after Johnny Manziel

It is the SEC media day and Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin was looking forward to talking about his team’s future and prospects. Unfortunately for him, the media wasn’t willing to part ways or move past former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.

In fact, the very first question that Sumlin was asked was about the former A&M Heisman Trophy winner.

It wasn’t the only question that Sumlin faced about his former quarterback. Sumlin handled this question a bit more humorously, but you can telln that he is starting to get frustrated with it.

It might take until the season starts and both A&M begin playing and Manziel’s career with the Browns begins for the questioning to start dying down. You’d think there’d be plenty to talk about with A&M entering a new chapter, but everyone wants to keep harping on Johnny Football.

There probably is a great deal of pressure on Sumlin to continue the success A&M had with the star quarterback without him.
