People who think Adam Wainwright served up a meatball to Derek Jeter in the All-Star Game: No. This is what a man throwing meatballs looks like.

More from Chicago Cubs

This is a man throwing actual literal meatballs to a major league hitter, Anthony Rizzo. Oh, I get it. Because his name is Rizzo. Italian. Meatballs.

GOT IT.

Rizzo hitting actual meatballs all over a parking lot results in a little bit of a mess, some of which gets on one dude’s car. That can’t be good for the paint job.

Also I can’t imagine it’s entirely safe hitting flying meatballs with a baseball bat. What if some of the meatball shrapnel gets in your eye. Shouldn’t Rizzo be wearing eye protection?

And don’t even get me started on how wasteful this is. Those look like pretty tasty meatballs. Seems like people should be eating those meatballs, not obliterating them with baseball bats.

But sure. Go ahead. Destroy the meatballs. There are starving children all over the world but, hit meatballs with a bat for a comedy bit. Don’t help out with malnourishment.
