You knew Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was going to get plenty of endorsement opportunities in his professional career. There was no slowing down Manziel’s remarkable draw and level of interest heading into the NFL from the college ranks.
One of the first ads staring Manziel has been released and it is a commercial for a local Cleveland car dealership. It is pretty cheesy too, not that bad, but cheesy.
The ad is for Nissan of Streetsboro, and featues Manziel on a high school football field throwing a pass to a Nissan Altima going out on a passing route. He says there are two ways to win big in Cleveland in a Nissan.
Catching the pass is apparently one of the ways. The commercial ends with him saying nice catch and patting the car on the behind. For someone who has a lot riding on his money touchdown celebration, makes you wonder if Nissan ads were the best way to go.
