The Milwaukee Bucks weren’t a good team at all last year but that’s something they’re looking to change with the moves they’re making this offseason. Not all of the moves have involved bif free agents — in fact, none of the moves really have — but the Bucks are at least trying and that’s all fans can ask for.

According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Bucks and guard Jerryd Bayless are closing in on a deal that would land the veteran in Milwaukee to help lead the young team that is being put together.

Bayless was traded to the Boston Celtics earlier in the season from the Memphis Grizzlies but has proven to be a valuable piece in the past. He’ll be a guy that the Bucks can plug right in and make a leader on the offense, which will be needed given how young the team is and how desperate Jason Kidd will be for veterans to help him with his goal of crafting a winner.
