Auburn Tigers quarterback Nick Marshall was issued a citation for marijuana possession last week which led to him being pulled from SEC Media Days and proved to the college football world that Gus Malzahn’s “no marijuana policy” is a farce.

Marshall was cited during a traffic stop in Reynolds, Georgia.

Now that a few days have passed since the incident, WRBL News 3 got their hands on the dash cam footage from the traffic stop.

Marshall talked with a police officer before being handcuffed and placed in the back of the patrol vehicle with a paper in his hand.

Eventually, Marshall was able to get back into his car and drive away.

It was a minor incident and one that Marshall will be able to learn from as he continues to mature.

Unfortunately, Malzahn pulled Marshall from the SEC Media Days so he was not forced to deal with the media and face the situation head on. That would have been the biggest learning experience of all.

We will just now have to wait and see if Marshall will be punished or suspended by the team which seems highly unlikely.
