British Open: Tiger Woods drive hits person in the face (Video)

Tiger Woods is trying to get back in the saddle at the British Open, and he’s having a pretty good first round. But there was that one errant drive on 17 that took one hop and struck this person in the side of the face.

Another proud golf spectator can say they’ve taken a Tiger Woods ball to the face. Tiger sometimes lets those balls get away from him.

So, can Tiger tighten it up and make a run at the claret jug? Or is this going to be another painful grinding Tiger Woods performance where he looks like he’s getting it back and then he starts spraying it all over, hitting people in the face and other body parts with his wild shots?

As long as Tiger is in contention all four days, the TV people will be happy. It’s mostly about keeping the TV people happy. They really should consider kidnapping Tiger and replacing him with a robot Tiger who never breaks and always makes the cut and stays in the game until the last day. That’s the only way to protect those precious golf ratings.
