Free agent tight end Jermichael Finley is still looking for a home in the NFL. One thing is for certain though, Finley would prefer to return to the Green Bay Packers over any other NFL Franchise.

“Tell everybody I’m working as hard as I can to get back to Packer Nation,” Finley said earlier in July.

The hold up for many NFL teams is the injury Finley sustained against the Cleveland Browns in October. During the game, Finely injured his neck and was temporarily paralyzed, an injury many thought would end his career.

That has teams proceeding with caution despite the fact that Finley received medical clearance from his surgeon, Dr. Joseph Maroon, in late May. Well Finley’s return to the Packers took a step forward, though it isn’t anything imminent. Finley is meeting with the Packers’ team doctors to “view MRIs and talk.”

A process where the Packers can evaluate Finley’s health for themselves.
