The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off the Herculean task of landing LeBron James in fee agency but their work is far from being over. Almost as soon as the Cavs got LeBron back, the focus shifted to trying to get Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

It’s a lot easier said than done though as so far the Cavaliers have been unwilling to make Andrew Wiggings available and haven’t been able to work Dion Waiters into a trade offer. Landing Love would make the Cavs instant favorites to win the NBA Championship and it would mean a dynasty in Cleveland if both LeBron and Love signed long term.

Moke Hamilton from Basketball Insiders is hearing that the Cavaliers will be the team that lands Love but there isn’t really a true timetable on when to expect him to sign or be acquired by Cleveland.

This is something that has been assumed for a while now but the bottom line is that the Cavaliers will have to be willing to give up Andrew Wiggins in a trade or wait out Love’s pending free agency and hope he signs with the team.

Either way, the Cavaliers seem to have passed up the Warriors in the Kevin Love sweepstakes and that’s something that all Cavs fans can feel happy about.
