What the world really needs is a sequel to Breaking Bad starring a washed-up former Batman and a washed-up rock and roll guitar player. That’s the thought that came into Lawrence Shepherd’s head, possibly during a particularly vivid peyote trip.

Unlike most crazy ideas that pop more-or-less randomly into the minds of crazy people, this idea stuck and now Lawrence Shepherd is trying to make it reality. There’s only one place to go if you have a harebrained scheme that has no chance of coming to fruition: Kickstarter.

Shepherd wants you to give him money so that he can make a sequel to Breaking Bad starring Val Kilmer and Slash. His show will be called Anastasia, and of course it will be the greatest show of all-time.

Shepherd’s Kickstarter pitch makes no sense unless you are on powerful drugs. In his video, he admits he’s a maniac. He also seems completely serious about making this. (Warning: Video contains Breaking Bad spoilers)

A summary of Shepherd’s idea reads like the frenzied 3 AM jottings of an insomniac. Val Kilmer and Slash play U.S. Marshals who swoop in to investigate…something. Random guest stars will appear in each episode, Love Boat style, in scenes where they talk about their real life addiction issues. Kilmer will be like Columbo and Slash will be like Slash.

Yeah, so basically this guy can’t get over Breaking Bad. And fanfic isn’t good enough for him so, Kickstarter campaign. I’m sure Vince Gilligan will be happy to hand the BB reins over to Random Kickstarter Weirdo Guy Who Thinks Way Too Much About a TV Show.

I bet he has some interesting theories on the Illuminati too.
