Take a quick look at the Mythology within Gotham (Video)

We may still be about two months away from the premiere of the new Batman-inspired series Gotham; however, that hasn’t stopped the Fox series from being one of the most anticipated shows of the upcoming Fall season.

Yesterday, we showed you a new trailer for the series that gave Detective Gordon a less-than-warm welcome home.

Now, we have a quick look at some of the mythology of the characters in the newest featurette for the upcoming new series.

Gotham is going to give fans new and old a look at the story behind some of the greatest villains that Batman has ever faced and one of the most underrated allies that the Caped Crusader has ever had; all before Batman is even Batman.

Now, some of the characters’ story has been slightly altered, which is going to upset some of the Batman loyalists; however, there are other aspects of the story that are completely new and have the ability to draw people in and make them wonder about the characters origins.

Why don’t you take a look for yourselves? Here’s a quick look at the latest featurette for the upcoming series Gotham.

The Batman-inspired origin story is being directed by Danny Cannon. Cannon is no stranger to television as he has directed shows like The Tomorrow PeopleNikita, and CSIGotham is being penned by Bruno Heller. Heller has penned shows like The Mentalist and Rome.

Of course, this is all based off of characters originally created by Bob Kane.

The series stars Ben McKenzie as the young Detective Gordon. Gotham also stars Sons of Anarchy star Donal Logue, Sara Paxton, Jada Pinkett Smith, Erin Richards, Sean Pertwee, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Robin Taylor, and many more.

The series premiere of Gotham will debut on Monday, September 22nd at 8:00 p.m. on Fox.
