UFC Fight Night 45 medical suspensions: Miller, Duke out indefinitely


On Wednesday night, UFC Fight Night 45 took place at the Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The event was a thriller with nine of the eleven bouts finishing by stoppage.

Seven of the fighters who suffered losses on the night were handed down a 30 day suspension with no contact for their TKO loss, while the only winner to receive a medical suspension was Joe Proctor thanks to the giant hematoma by his left ear.

TUF 18 standout Jessamyn Duke was suspended indefinitely, along with main event participant Jim Miller, Alex White and Tina Lahdemaki, after suffering two complete breaks in her hand. (X-ray photo here)

Below is the full list of medical suspensions from the New Jersey Athletic Control Board:

Jim Miller was suspended for 30 days with no contact for a knockout loss. He was also suspended indefinitely pending the outcome of an x-ray of his right forearm, as well as an abdominal ultrasound.

Evan Dunham was suspended for 30 days with no contact for a TKO loss.

Joe Proctor was suspended for 30 days with no contact for left temporal hematoma healing.

Justin Salas was suspended for 30 days with no contact for TKO loss and for facial laceration healing.

Alptekin Ozkilic was suspended for 30 days with no contact for TKO loss. He was also suspended indefinitely pending the results of a CT head scan.

Alex White was suspended for 45 days for right eye laceration healing, as well as 30 days with no contact for a knockout loss. He was also suspended indefinitely pending the results of a CT head scan and neurological examination.

Jessamyn Duke was suspended for 30 days with no contact for a TKO loss. She was also suspended indefinitely pending x-rays and orthopedic clearance of her left hand.

Hugo Viana was suspended for 30 days with no contact for a TKO loss.

Tina Lahdemaki was suspended for 60 days with no contact for recovery. She was also suspended indefinitely pending opthalmological clearance of her right eye.
