Given the events that have transpired this past week, you would certainly believe that there’s a distinct possibility that he might be.
It all really began this past Monday night on RAW when the vignette, and an amazing one at that, aired that finally revealed Sting will be a part of the WWE 2K15 video game, meaning that he had finally, after all these years, struck up a deal with the company that he has never worked for once in his career.
With this, a television debut cannot be too far behind.
Since then, a lot of people have publicly spoken on the matter, including the legend himself. When he as asked about whether or not his role with WWE would expand beyond just being a video game character, he responded in about the most favorable way possible to the folks at Grantland.
“I’ll just say that I’m all in and very willing to participate. Believe me,” the multi-time world champion said.
Then, also on Thursday, the big boss himself, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, teased that we could see the real-life version of the Stinger sooner than we all thought.
And finally, the man in charge of the talent, and also the man that got Bruno Sammartino, of all people, Triple H, hinted at the notion of Sting appearing before our very eyes.
All of the stars seem to be slowly aligning, and what better stage would there be for Sting to appear on than one of the company’s most anticipated shows of the year, Summerslam?
