This week, Aonso had surgery to repair the torn ligament.
Alonso’s surgery was performed by everyone’s favorite sports doctor Dr. James Andrews, but don’t expect anything to change.
The successful surgery was announced on social media by Alonso’s agent, Scott Caric.
The Bills have already placed Alonso on the injured reserve list so he will not have a chance to return to the team this season. Instead, the Bills will need either rookie Preston Brown or Nigel Bradham to step up in Alonso’s place.
Buffalo also has Brandon Spikes on the roster after signing him of of the open market, we will need to wait and see exactly who the player that steps up for the Bills will be.
Of course, no one will be able to completely fill the void left by Alonso.
