On Saturday afternoon, rising UFC featherweight Conor McGregor was able to score a first-round TKO victory over Diego Brandao in the main event of UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin, Ireland.
With McGregor having so much success in his latest bout and escaping the match without any serious damage, media members and fans were immediately wondering when he would be stepping back into the Octagon.
While we don’t have an exact date, UFC president Dana White did say during the post-fight press conference that McGregor would likely fight in Las Vegas next.
The next fight for the UFC in Las Vegas is UFC 178 on Sept. 27.
If McGregor can not fight in that time frame, he would have to wait until UFC 181 on Dec. 6 to get back into action.
It is highly unlikely that the UFC would keep McGregor on the sidelines for that long of a period, so it is going to be interesting to see if McGregor gets booked for UFC 178. If he does, the next question will be: against who?
