By Sam Richmond
John Elway and the Denver Broncos are working to ensure that two of their top pass-catchers, Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas, who are both entering the final year of their rookie contracts, remain with the team for a long time.

From Lindsey Jones of USA Today Sports:
"The Denver Broncos have made contract offers to star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and tight end Julius Thomas and will continue negotiating with both players after training camp opens July 24, Broncos general manager John Elway said Wednesday.“Nothing is going to get done before camp, but we’ll keep talking to them in camp,” Elway told USA TODAY Sports after playing a practice round of golf at the American Century Championship near Lake Tahoe."
Elway did add that he expect these situations to be wrapped up prior to the start of the season.
"“I’m never going to go into the season, but the first couple of weeks, we can continue to talk about it. After the second week of the preseason, we’ll want to have had something done, one way or another.”"
It’s not a secret why Elway would like to get these guys re-signed at some point. Demaryius has established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, grabbing 92 balls for 1,430 yards last season. Julius is also coming off the best season of his career, catching 65 passes for 788 yards during the 2013 NFL season.
