On Saturday afternoon at UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin, Northern Ireland’s Norman Parke was able to storm past Naoyuki Kotani for a TKO victory in the second-round.
Following his win, Parke was eager to call out his next opponent and quickly let it be known that he was ready to step up and face a fighter ranked in the top 20.
If Parke gets his wish, that fighter will be The Ultimate Fighter season 1 winner Diego Sanchez.
Whether or not Sanchez is actually a top 20 fighter is a story for another day, but that is the bout that Parke is hoping to get.
“Diego Sanchez, where you at punk?” Parke said following the bout.
If the UFC wants to book Parke vs. Sanchez, then we could see the bout potentially take place in November of this year at UFC 180 in Mexico City which is headlined by a heavyweight title bout between TUF: Latin America coaches Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum.
