Patrick Hudson commits to Baylor: Bears land No. 2 OT
Under head coach Art Briles, the Baylor Bears have completely turned things around. Not only have the Bears had a Heisman Trophy winner in quarterback Robert Griffin III and reached a BCS Bowl last season, losing the Fiesta Bowl to the Central Florida Knights.

On Friday, the Bears landed one of the biggest commitments in school history when 5-Star 2016 offensive tackle Patrick Hudson gave his pledge to the Bears.

"On Friday Baylor pulled off one of the biggest switches in recent history as Silsbee five star offensive lineman Patrick Hudson informed Coach Art Briles he would be a Baylor Bear. Hudson came into the camp with an offer and had visited for the fifth camp on June 8th, but did not work out. On Friday, the talented tackle prospect dominated his one-on-one reps and stood out in technique drills.BearsTruth caught up with Hudson after his performance. “I feel at home. Amazing. This is all amazing.”"
The 6’5.5, 325-pound Hudson is from Silsbee, Texas and attend Silsbee High School. He is ranked as the country’s second-best offensive tackle prospect, the sixth-best overall prospect from the state of Texas and the 16th-best overall prospect in the class of 2016, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. Hudson also holds offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies, among others.
The Bears also landed two other 2016 prospects this week, 4-Star wide receiver Tren’Davian Dickson and 4-Star all-purpose running back Kameron Martin. That gives them five total commitments in the class of 2016.
