Even before the influx of ‘running’ quarterbacks, Tony Romo has always been one of the more athletic signal callers in the game. Sure, he may not be viewed as quick as Colin Kaepernick nor as strong as Cam Newton, but there’s no doubt Romo can still get the job done from an athletic standpoint.

That said, father time slowly creeps up on all players and the Dallas Cowboys quarterback is doing what he can to delay the process which is why he enrolled in spin classes recently.

Trying to keep himself in shape, recover and improve his stamina, Romo apparently decided spin class would be a good way to improve his cardio during the offseason.

While the Cowboys quarterback will likely be mocked in some circles for the decision it’s actually a great way to keep in shape during the offseason and should assist him during the season. The Green Bay Packers have a multitude of players who participate in yoga during the offseason and it’s well known that many wide receivers participate in the activity as well. The spin classes should also help the back of Tony Romo which has become somewhat problematic.

Simply put, spending the vast majority of your life on the practice field can get boring and repetitious. So I’m guessing Tony Romo wanted to get away from the camp atmosphere and hit up the incredibly plush Four Seasons gym. Plus, I’m sure the sights aren’t too bad in a spin class either, especially one held at such a posh ‘resort’.
