Denver Broncos news: Julius Thomas wants to stay with team

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas has really been making a name for himself as one of the top tight ends in the league, but he is set to enter the final year of his contract and there is no certainty about where he will his football next season.

However, Thomas has an idea of where he would like to play and that is with the team whose uniform he currently wears on Sundays.

When asked whether or not he would like to return to the Mile High City next season, Thomas gave a resounding yes.

“Absolutely. I love Denver. It’s a great city. I really love that franchise, fan base, I would look forward to being there for a long time,” Thomas told Larry Brown Sports. “But it’s business. We’ll see what happens.”

After Jimmy Graham signed a 4-year, $40 million deal to remain with the New Orleans Saints, Thomas could really be in for a huge pay day next offseason.

If the 2014 NFL free agency was any indication, the Broncos will be able to lock him up as long as they want him back in a Broncos uniform. One would have to imagine that they do.
