Rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins enters the season with high expectations as the top pass catcher in his class, and he was putting on a show in practice early.
That was until he took a big hit and was shaken up.
According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, Watkins needed to be attended to by trainers and it appears that a cut may have opened up on his head as a result of the hit from his teammate.
Garafolo wrote:
The good news is that Watkins doesn’t appear to be seriously injured.
Buffalo is hoping for a breakout year from young quarterback EJ Manuel, and having Watkins play up to his ability will be a big part of that success.
Hopefully the Bills will be able to avoid any further scary situations with their top receiver as training camp continues.
