Although the Los Angeles Lakers allegedly have interest in trading for Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns, there hasn’t been much additional news supporting that report. Add in that the deal isn’t exactly all that favorable to the Suns and you have to question if such a move would take place.

More from Los Angeles Lakers

Until the Phoenix Suns show interest in the alleged trade proposal it seems to be more of a pipe dream for Los Angeles Lakers fans who probably aren’t going to be thrilled with how their offseason went. That disapointment is likely only to grow after Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders suggests the Los Angeles Lakers are likely done making any major moves this offseason.

While players like the aforementioned Eric Bledsoe and Greg Monroe sit available in restricted free agency, most key unrestricted free agents have been signed leaving few options for the Lakers moving forward. Of those still available, they have seemingly priced themselves out of the market and understandably the Lakers are reluctant to eat into any future cap space which would prevent them from big name signings in the future.

Given everything, it seems rather logical to suggest that the Lakers major offseason moves are all but done.

Of course, there’s always the potential for a big trade but with rather limited assets you have to wonder if the Lakers could even put together an offer for a key player.

The return of Kobe Bryant will certainly give the Los Angeles Lakers a much needed boost this season, though it remains to be seen if it’ll be enough to get them out of the lottery.
