New York Knicks rumors: Interest in Dahntay Jones
By Bryan Rose
The New York Knicks have had interest in Dahntay Jones for quite some time. The swingman was a target of the franchise this past February and it appears their interest in the former Duke product hasn’t fallen off as they’re expected to work out the veteran in the near future.

Jones most recently ‘played’ for the Chicago Bulls though never suited up for the organization as he was waived just days after signing his contract. Previous to that, Dahntay Jones was a member of the Atlanta Hawks after he was acquired for Anthony Morrow.
A 10-year veteran, Jones has played for a multitude of franchises over the course of his career though has yet to play for the New York Knicks. Why exactly they’re interested is a bit of an unknown, though with limited financial flexibility they’re looking to add end of the bench players and that’s a role Jones should be able to fill.
Jones’ best season came in 2009-10 when he was a member of the Indiana Pacers and averaged over 10 points per game, though is a career 5.6 points per game scorer.
The New York Knicks aren’t the only team who reportedly has interest in the veteran swingman as both the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets are also said to have interest. All three teams are near his hometown of Hamilton, New Jersey so it’s possible Jones is reaching out to the teams in hopes of playing close to home.
Signing with any of the above mentioned teams would be Jones’ seventh franchise during his ten year career.
