The Minnesota Vikings insist they have a three way quarterback competition going in camp, even though most believe Matt Cassel has already secured the starting job and the competition talk is a load of lies.

More from Minnesota Vikings

Don’t ask Teddy Bridgewater for clarification on the issue because he doesn’t want to talk about it. When asked about his chance to take the starting job from Cassel, Bridgewater told USA Today’s Tom Pelissero:

"That’s something I don’t feel comfortable talking about. I’m just looking forward to training camp. Can’t wait to get to Mankato, put the pads on and just continue doing what we’ve got to do: play football."

Clearly, Teddy has been spending his offseason studying his cliches along with his playbook. Deflect that question Teddy Bridgewater.

When asked about head coach Mike Zimmer’s refusal to name a starter going into camp, Teddy did more deflecting:

"I haven’t been paying attention to that. I’ve just been trying to learn the playbook more and familiarize myself with the playbook and just continue to get better each day."

Bridgewater won’t fuel the alleged QB controversy by talking about it or even acknowledging its existence. That’s fine, because we already know the truth.

Matt Cassel is #1 pending Bridgewater’s official ascension. Bridgewater is #2 until such time as he convinces Norv Tuner he’s ready to ascend. Christian Ponder is #3 because HAHAHA CHRISTIAN PONDER.

Not complicated.
