Ubisoft is ready to put Assassin’s Creed back in the forefront of gamers minds. With the swashbuckling adventure on the high seas over, the series will once again turn back inland, this time to Paris. With the game being created on the current generation systems, Ubisoft’s newest video showcases just how powerful the new Anvil Engine is in Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Alex Amancio, the creative director for Assassin’s Creed Unity discussed just how integral the Anvil Engine is when it comes to the new experience. With the advanced technology, the folks over at Ubisoft are able to build worlds more complex than anything seen before in an Assassin’s Creed title.
Not only are the worlds themselves beautiful, but as witnessed in the new video( as well as countless gameplay videos currently in circulation), the interiors of building come to life as well. Assassin’s Creed as a series is well-known for its free run style of gameplay, and being able to traverse virtually anything, thanks to the Anvil Engine, Unity will experience that same realism indoors as well.
Not to be ignored, the video also showcases the new female character in Unity. At this point, very few details are known in regards to her role in the upcoming title, and what her purpose will be.
With Assassin’s Creed set to release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 28, it looks as if Ubisoft has done everything in their power to put their best foot forward in the next stealthy adventure.
