Dwayne Johnson battles the Lion in new clip from Hercules (Video)

In just three more days, one of the world’s most well-known heroes will come crashing back onto the big screen as Hercules opens in theaters nationwide.

Just yesterday, we showed you a new clip from the film that saw the titular hero save the life of Amphiaraus, who is played in the film by Deadwood actor Ian McShane, by snatching a flaming arrow out of the air and hurling it back at its owner.

Now, we have a look at a new clip from the upcoming action-packed adventure that gives fans a look at the epic showdown between Hercules and a giant Lion.

As you know by now, Hercules is set to battle some of the most fearsome mythical monsters of all time. One of those monsters is an enormous lion that is easily five times his size. You have seen snippets of this clip in a number of the trailers and TV Spots. Now, see what really happens.

Take a look for yourselves. Here is a look at the latest clip from the upcoming action-packed adventure Hercules.

While the clip does stop short of showing you just what became of the lion, you can’t really fault them for not playing all their cards too early.

I can tell you, from what I have seen thus far, the film should look pretty amazing in IMAX 3D.

Hercules is being directed by Brett Ratner, who is also set to direct the upcoming Beverly Hills Cop sequel coming in 2016.

The screenplay for the film is being penned by relatively new screenwriter Ryan Condal and screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos, who has done countless works for Walt Disney like Lion King 1 ½ and Pooh’s Heffalump Movie.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Hercules himself. Joining him is Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides actor Ian McShane. The film also stars John Hurt, Joseph Fiennes, Rufus Sewell, Irina Shayk, and many more.

Hercules is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and Conventional Theaters on July 25, 2014.
