Eric Fisher: 2013 No. 1 overall pick moves to LT as Chiefs open training camp
Nearly one year to the date when the Kansas City Chiefs signed last year’s No. 1 overall pick, Eric Fisher, the club has shifted the former college left tackle back to his natural position after playing on the right side as a rookie in 2013.

Fisher was drafted with the intention of starting as right tackle and getting acclimated to the NFL game with the hopes he would have success there and make the seamless transition to the blind side in his sophomore season.
The plan was perfect in theory, but the play of Fisher in his rookie season was littered with inconsistency, injury and lack of confidence that led some to speculate if he would stick at right tackle for another year, despite the loss of Branden Albert in free agency.

Fisher has offseason surgery on his shoulder and reported to camp feeling strong–his weight is up to 315 pounds–and ready to play at his natural position.
"“It’s like riding a bike,” Fisher told reporters on Tuesday via Pro Football Talk. “I felt good out there today. It’s a lot more natural for me. I’m really excited about it.”“I’ve been working my butt of and am just glad to be out here,” Fisher said. “I never really lost strength. I’ve been in there working and when you can’t bench there’s other things you can do and that’s what I was doing.”"
The Chiefs first padded practice is on Saturday and Fisher will take part in the training camp session as he looks to fulfill those expectations that come with being the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
