The Big 12 hosted their media days at the Omni Hotel in Dallas this week, and Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops had a lot of hot opinions. Stoops has been known to talk a little bit of trash regarding the SEC and their “best conference in football” pedestal.
He took aim at an SEC school that used to be a Big 12 rival, Texas A&M. In particular, Stoops called out A&M’s rather easy non-conference schedule to start the season with games against Lamar, Rice, SMU and Louisiana-Monroe.
Bob Stoops mentions Texas A&M’s non-conference schedule: “Lamar, Rice, SMU, La-Monroe. Those are all a bunch of toughies"

Bob Stoops with some hot sports opinion to http://t.co/XacYK3V9Lm. On A&M's non-con schedule: "Boy, that's a bunch of toughies."

It is interesting that he’d make that claim because A&M’s 2014 strength of schedule is ranked 5th in the nation while Oklahoma’s is ranked 93rd according to FBSchedules.com. Though that could have more to do with conference games than non-conference games and the difference between the Big 12 and the SEC.
Oklahoma plays Louisiana Tech, Tulsa and Tennessee of the SEC in non-conference play to open the season.
