Check out the first poster from the action-packed adventure Mad Max: Fury Road.
The doors to the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con don’t officially open until tomorrow morning, but all the goodies from all your favorite upcoming films and television series have already started to make their way around the internet.
One of those films with said goodies is the upcoming action-packed adventure Mad Max: Fury Road.
Earlier today, Warner Bros. unveiled the very first poster for the film, which you can see below.
Just in case you are not yet familiar with the premise of the new film, here is a quick look at the synopsis for Mad Max: Fury Road courtesy of IMDb.com.
“A apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.”
Mad Max films have always been known for their action, and between the synopsis and look of the new poster, it doesn’t look as if Max Rockatansky has plans of slowing down anytime soon.
Mad Max: Fury Road is being directed by George Miller. Miller was the most obvious choice for the job given the fact that he directed three of the four previous Mad Max films.
Miller is also working on the screenplay for the film along with rookie screenwriters Nick Lathouris and Brendan McCarthy.
The film stars The Dark Knight Rises in the role of Max Rockatansky. Mad Max: Fury Road also stars A Million Ways to Die in the West actress Charlize Theron, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Angus Sampson, Josh Helman, and many more.
Mad Max: Fury Road is scheduled to be released on May 15, 2015.
