FanSided is pleased to announce that it is adding former ESPN True Hoop Network blog, PistonPowered to its stable of NBA sites.

PistonPowered was founded by Dan Feldman on January 2nd, 2009. The site joined the ESPN True Hoop Network just 18 days later. Feldman still serves as editor of PistonPowered and also writes for ProBasketBallTalk.com.

“Over the past year, we have been working hard to improve our NBA coverage and acquiring PistonPowered is an excellent step in that direction,” said FanSided VP of Content and Strategy, Patrick Allen.

PistonPowered.com is the fourth ESPN True Hoop Network site that FanSided has added in 2014. The network previously acquired 8Points9Seconds.com and ValleyoftheSuns.com, and landed an affiliate partnership with HardwoodParoxysm.com. PistonPowered is expected be officially moved over to the FanSided platform by Wednesday morning.

“Pistons fans have been flocking to the Piston Powered for quality team coverage for years,” said FanSided CEO, Adam Best. “To have the chance to add such a high-quality site to our network was a no-brainer.”

Piston Powered will absorb with the already established FanSided Pistons site, Pistons Palace.

Along with bringing in quality sites from outside the network, FanSided’s home-grown NBA properties have been going through a renaissance as of late with sites like HoopsHabit (general NBA), AllUCanHeat (Miami Heat), LakeShowLife (Los Angeles Lakers) and BucketsOverBroadway (New York Knicks) pulling in millions of pageviews and unique visitors.
