The Cleveland Cavaliers may have made a trade last night with the Utah Jazz to help lubricate a Kevin Love trade with the Timberwolves but it might have been too little too late.

More from Chicago Bulls

According to Sheridan Hoops, who broke the LeBron James story before anyone could even catch their breath from the Heat meeting, the Chicago Bulls have submitted a trade offer to the Minnesota Timberwolves that would send Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic to the Wolves in exchange for Kevin Love.

"The Chicago Bulls have offered a package of Taj Gibson and rookies Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Kevin Love, a league source told SheridanHoops.com on Wednesday."

The trade seems to be extremely one-sided but it almost has to be that way for a Kevin Love to Chicago trade to work. Not only would the Bulls need to put together a sweeter package than the Cleveland Cavaliers or Golden State Warriors, but they’d need to slice away salary to make room for two max contracts on their roster in Derrick Rose and the one Kevin Love would sign.

It’s far from being a done deal by any means, and the Bulls have denied trade talks for Love as recently as Tuesday, but it’s the kind of package that sounds like it could get a Love trade done as it offers everything the Wolves want to acquire for Love and even a little more.
