The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday seemed as if they might be headed into training camp down their rookie running back Terrance West, but that won’t be the case as he has been activated off of the non-football injury list and will participate in training camp immediately.

The early word going around on Wednesday was that West had failed a conditioning test, which would be a huge red flag for someone competing for a starting running back position, but West quickly took to his twitter account to shoot that rumor down.

Once he shot that down, then the attention turned to how severe a potential injury might be, but then he wiped that rumor away as well.

Well it appears that he was telling the truth either way, and now he can get down to the business of competing to be the starter as a rookie, where some believe he has a very good chance.

More from Cleveland Browns

West will be competing with veteran Ben Tate, whom the team acquired this offseason in free agency. The two were apparently neck-and-neck during the spring drills, so this will be one of the more interesting battles to watch play out in Browns camp.

Yes, maybe even more so than Johnny Manziel.
