It appears as if the contract talks between the Atlanta Falcons and star wide receiver Roddy White have come to an end just as training camp is about to begin. And it also looks as if White will be retiring a Falcon, more than likely, as he and the team have come to terms on a four-year contract extension that will keep him with the team for the next five years, Adam Schefter is reporting.

Back in May, the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that White would more than likely be receiving a contract extension by the time that training camp started, and while he was pushing the deadline, in the end he was ultimately correct.

More from Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have been the only team that White has known in his NFL career, drafting him out of UAB back in . Since then, White has been one of the more reliable targets in the league.

Entering his 10th season in the NFL this year, White has amassed 9,436 yards and 55 touchdowns throughout his career, nearly an average of 1,000 yards per season. Speaking of 1,000-yard seasons, of the nine years he’s played in the NFL, he has six of those on his record.
