On Thursday, just about a week after the announcement that they had struck a deal with Comcast, the SEC Network announced that they had struck a distribution deal with Time Warner and Bright House, one of the last remaining providers they had not gotten to pick up the new project that launches on August 14. For some time now, as the SEC Network continues to reach deals with different providers, DirecTV customers have become more and more nervous. Now, after Thursday’s announcement, they may have bitten all of their fingernails off.

Now they’re wondering if it will happen in time.

Last week in a report published by Clay Travis of FOX Sports, he was e-mailed by DirecTV, who told him that they hope to offer the Network, “soon.”

"The SEC Network is set for one of the most successful sports network launches in history now that DirecTV, the nation’s largest satellite company, emailed Outkick that the company is “quite hopeful” and “expects to be able to provide the network soon.”"

Whether or not that’s the case, we will certainly find out soon enough.

However, if you are a DirecTV consumer and would like to request the SEC Network, you can do so by simply clicking here.
