WWE legend Rowdy Roddy Piper claims movie being made about his life with Mark Wahlberg playing him

WWE legend Rowdy Roddy Piper has had one of the more notable careers in the history of professional wrestling. It actually is the stuff that movies should be made about, and according to Piper, there will be soon. And, to make things even better, Mark Wahlberg will be playing the starring role.

PWMania is reporting that while doing his one-man show recently, Piper let the news become public about the project, even the part about Wahlberg.

"– For what it’s worth, WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper did a one-man show in Scotland on July 16th and claimed there is a movie about his life in the works and that actor Mark Wahlberg will be playing him."

Now should Piper be telling the truth, then this truly is tremendous news. As stated earlier, Piper’s career was so long and had so many memorable moments that there is enough to fill a good movie with.

But Wahlberg as Piper? That might be stretching it a little bit. Sure, from the neck up they can make it work, but let’s be honest, and this is no knock on Piper, but Wahlberg would have to cut down on the muscle to play the Rowdy one.

Piper wasn’t small by any means, but he was never as jacked up as Wahlberg is and has been throughout his entire movie career.

Still, though, Wahlberg or not, most pro wrestling fans would absolutely pay their money to see a Piper movie.
