At San Diego Comic Con on Thursday, fans of the sci-fi television show Firefly received some news that is sure to excite any fan of both the show and gaming.
It was revealed to those in attendance that Firefly Online will feature the voice acting of all of the original stars of the show that ran for just 14 episodes back in 2002 and 2003.
That’s right, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk and all your favorite characters will be back for another journey with you, the players. Tudyk, it was announced, will play multiple roles in the game.
The developers behind Firefly Online also released a new trailer that showcases gameplay, features “players” talking about what type of captain they would be and a very special surprise at the end of the video. It’s definitely worth the watch.
Firefly Online puts players in the role of ship captains. They will have to assemble a crew, complete various missions and interact with other players across the world. It will contain over 200 worlds to visit, and will feature a central story with various branching options.
Firefly Online will launch this summer for Android, iOS, Mac and PC.
