Bridgeport Bluefish unveil ugly military themed nipple uniform (Photo)

The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League wanted to honor the men of the military with a special jersey, which is cool, but unfortunately the team went down the wrong road when choosing a design. Instead of camo, they decided to go with the simulated shirtless look. For full realism, the jerseys have nipples.

Apparently these guys did not learn from the movie Batman & Robin. Prominent male nipples do not make the costume more manly. They only make the costume weird and vaguely disturbing.
Overall, I don’t get what the Bluefish were going for here. I guess they didn’t want to go the predictable route and do camo. So they were trying to come up with something that said “military” without opting for camo. And some genius in the room sold the idea of simulated bare-chestedness with nipples.
And they decided to run with that? Okay. But keep in mind, this is the same team that thought it was a good idea to let Pete Rose manage them for one game earlier this year. So you have a sense of what that organization is about.
Their judgment is maybe not the greatest.
