The rash of arrests continues for the Georgia Bulldogs football program. Early Saturday morning, linebacker Davin Bellamy was busted for DUI and speeding by police in Clarke County. That makes seven arrests and counting this year for the Bulldogs.

More from College Football

The redshirt freshman Bellamy was nailed by Athens-Clarke County police before 5 AM and booked into jail, reports onlineathens.com. The booking report says he was released at 6:22 on $2,000 bond.

Team rules stipulate that Bellamy could now be suspended for 20% of the upcoming season. The 19-year-old from Chamblee High School is listed by Scout.com as a four-star recruit. He is currently listed as a backup linebacker on the Bulldogs depth chart.

The latest Georgia arrest comes just days after Jonathan Taylor was busted for aggravated assault/family violence and kicked off the team. Four players, including Taylor, were arrested in March for a check cashing scam.

Things may be getting a little out of hand down there in Georgia. It might be time for Mark Richt to go Charlie Strong down there in Bulldog land and clean out some folks. You can’t get away with this many arrests unless you’re winning games at an Urban Meyer-like clip.

The Bulldogs don’t exactly have the Florida-like winning record to go with the arrest record.
