Kevin Smith can’t say much about his visit to the set of Star Wars Episode VII in England – pesky nondisclosure agreements – but that won’t stop him from talking about it in very general terms.

Smith talked more Star Wars set visit during his appearance at Comic Con and there’s a video clip (NSFW salty language). What comes across most is Smith’s enthusiasm for the whole project. Kevin Smith is way into the new Star Wars, and he wants you to be way into the new Star Wars too.

Fantastic marketing move by J.J. Abrams, when you think about it. Inviting a straight-up fanboy like Smith to visit the set, knowing Smith will then spread the word. Without getting too specific, of course.

Does Kevin Smith’s enthusiasm get you jacked up for the new Star Wars? Or are you still skeptical that Abrams will be able to pull it off.

No green screen is good. Tactile is good. Dude playing with giant Star Wars figures is…a weird image, but I guess good.

We know Kevin Smith is on board, but we’ll see if the rest of the fans are willing to jump on the bandwagon too.
