One of those players who will have a great opportunity to step up in the offense and become a key contributor is former second-round pick Rueben Randle, and many believe that he could be ready for a breakout season.
Randle has told the New York Daily News that he is “very confident” he will be able to score “double-digits in touchdowns.”
With a new role in the offense, Randle is as ready as every to make his impact felt.
“I’ve got to play big,” Randle said. “They’re going to allow me to do that. My job is to make that big play, whether it be in the end zone or down the field.”
If Randle can step up in the way that many expect him to do, Eli Manning will have a quality receiver ready to get the ball in his hands on each and every play. It will just be a matter of whether or not Eli Manning can avoid throwing the ball to his opponents.
